Kamara disappears from Rangers as January sale seems inevitable

If someone has disappeared from Rangers’ front lines completely in recent times, it’s been out-of-favour Glen Kamara.

Ever since his failed move to Nice, before his performances started reflecting his lack of interest with some of the least number of touches we’ve seen from a Rangers midfielder in recent times, not to mention a mystery ‘knock’ which has left him out of the match squad, Kamara has barely shown up.

The Finn, who wasn’t at training this week, has certainly only been a bit-part player this season, with pretty laboured displays when he’s been called upon, and, as said, was close to that move to France which caved in before it could transpire, and the former Dundee man has been increasingly vocal about getting his move out.

As many fans have called it, he’s clearly unhappy at both losing his main two mates in the squad, Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo, as well as being resentful they both got the kinds of move he wanted himself. In short, he’s not committed to the club any more, and needs a fresh start.

In his defence, he’s been at Rangers for almost four years now, so it’s not like the Arsenal kid has given us nothing, and at times he’s been borderline world class. But there’s clearly a feeling he’s been playing well within himself for a long long time, only really waking up when he’s putting on the national kit instead.

There are also murmurs he signed that new contract with an understanding that a good bid would be accepted if one arrived, and feels the offering from Nice qualified as such. Consequently, that he is of the belief a gentleman’s agreement has been slightly reneged on despite his doing his side.

Not that the board have been accused of running the club well in recent times, it has to be said…

As for Kamara, miles away from the first team, seemingly injured, and wanting his move – we really hope for his sake as well as ours that he gets it this January, but then equally he needs in the shop window in order to promote himself.

Not that recent attempts have exactly borne fruit, mind you.

  1. I will say it once again, how can we sell a player nobody wants ?? I do not think the move to France was ever on, time to get this waste of fucking air off the wage bill

  2. Unfortunatley we cannot get him off the wage bill if no buyers either ,or other wage thiefs like morelos, kunt, hellander ,souttar and roofe
It is either that or rangers give them all a massive pay off to fuck off …and thats what got us into trouble years ago ,better to just take our chances and see if someone comes in .
