Rangers are looking at FC Midtjylland’s Evander, according to the man himself. The 24-year old central midfielder claims he’s got an agreement with his current employer to secure a transfer this window, and while Turkish giants Galatasaray had been interested, that one is over now.

But Rangers and Copenhagen, the player says, are still in the hunt for his signature.

He’s worth £7M.

This one has rather come out of the blue and been reported by respected Brazilian journalist and ESPN regular Gustavo Hofman, so there’s something in here.

And we highly doubt the player is lying about his situation either – he was speaking on Futebol no Mundo’s podcast so it’s very real.

The question is how far are Rangers going to go to secure this promising young talent who is also said to be interesting Dutch giants Ajax?

He has 189 career appearances, none for Brazil at senior level but he does have youth caps, and has a decent number of goals and assists for his position, 48 and 36 respectively.

He’s one of Denmark’s best league players, and Midtjylland won’t want to lose him for below his worth.

Whether that will be to Rangers, Ajax or Copenhagen, time will tell.
