An Ibrox Noise Statement

We’re getting a lot of criticism, praise and general commentary about our content today – a lot of you are accusing us of obsession with Connor Goldson (probably true), of being negative (sometimes true), and of being, and we quote, trumpets (surely true).

But many of you are in agreement with us too.

And this is what we want.

We want both sides – we are a fair platform who allow people who disagree to have their view – we stop short at endorsing abuse, and we lose patience if someone deliberately and systematically trolls us with disagreement repeatedly, but generally, we’d like to think we’re fairly liberal as far as Rangers groups go.

There are tonnes of disagreements about our content today, just like there are tonnes of agreement.

And both are fair, welcome, and encouraged – we won’t allow abuse, or slurs – we do have a certain line of tolerance.

But we’ll let you disagree with us, unlike many platforms who will ban you for farting in the wrong direction when it comes to Rangers.

A lot of members are unliking the page because they can’t handle our views tonight. That’s completely up to them. As we’ve always said, if Ibrox Noise is not for you, you are free to leave, no hard feelings.

We want what’s best for the club, and you may disagree on what that is, but one thing is for sure, we all just want success on and off the park for our club.

It’s what unites us.

But like unity, there will be some dysfunction and disagreement about how to get there.

So, keep it all coming, and we’ll keep listening.

  1. On a side note, when Gio gets pushed out the door (hopefully soon), l pray we get Michael Beale to come back home

  2. I think it’s been justified , this is not a singular poor display he’s done it on several key occasions ffs. Let’s be really grown up here and say it like it is unlike the other mob. We want to win the league , be the best in every completion he at this moment along with Mclaughlin are our weaknesses. I know other players are also falling short of our expectations too, Matondo for example but this is continual failings .

  3. Nice to see Ibrox Noise acknowledging if not apologising for their Conor Goldson “obession” (witch hunt). While you’ve previously advocated Rangers players deserving support along with with criticism when it’s due, the big man seems to get singled out for blame every time things go wrong whether justifiable or not (much as Tav did in recent years). Some of our finest CBs over the years were prone to errors (think big Lorenzo) but never accused of lack of commitment, bravery or negligence.
I still enjoy reading most Ibox Noise articles whether I agree with content or not but feel the Goldson vendetta is making the site look a bit Kerrydale Meltdown

  4. Cannot understand why the big man does not use his physicality to defend balls into the penalty box ala big Marvin Andrews. I was always taught to “clear your lines” when defending in the box. The big man is a decent footballer but not a good defender. Cannot understand why none of his previous coaches/managers have sorted this glaring weakness in his game.

  5. Let’s face it there’s alot more than just big Conner not playing to there capabilities, the sooner Gio’s oot the door the better. The Gers need a real good revamped
