Rangers are said to be looking back into the Finnish market with another HJK player, this time a former one, in the form of striker Kai Meriluoto, 19.
The Ilves Tampere hitman, with 8 in 15 this season, shows impressive promise to say the least and is excelling in the Veikkausliiga just like Alfredo did all those years ago.
Merluoto has played for both Helsinki sides, in HJK and Klubi 04, with the latter being in the Finnish second division at the time, but his record was still very good for them.
Would Meriluoto be a first team player?
Well, Alfredo was, and has gone to be a hell of a hit at Rangers, so there’s no reason another from those Scandinavian necks of the wood can’t be either.
We won’t lie and say we’ve seen this kid play, but once again, if Gio wants him, he clearly sees something.
