Utd boss Jack Ross has failed to deny he’s interested in Glenn Middleton by vaguely sweeping the question aside and admitting his club needs firepower badly.
The Rangers winger seeks a new club after internal confirmation he is not part of the plans going forward, and Jack’s Arabs as well as Middleton’s old stomping ground of St Johnstone have been linked.
Ross could only say he wasn’t specifically referring to Middleton when talking about firepower:
Not quite a total no, and we’d be surprised if he isn’t interested on any level.
Middleton certainly needs a fresh start, and he has missed 3 years of development now at Rangers, so whoever gets him will get a player with a point to prove for sure.
But it’s pretty unlikely to the point of nil that Middleton will ever put a Rangers shirt on in anger again.
