We at IN have an important question.

How many have done a google search for Rangers Football Club and seen the section under People Also Ask

“Is Glasgow Rangers Catholic or Protestant?”

Yeh, we know the truth. We have supporters from every single corner of the world, and we don’t care what religion anyone follows.

For Rangers fans, it truly doesn’t matter. You could be an alien from Alpha Centauri and we would happily drink beer with you and slag off Celtic just because it’s fun.

So….the question should really be, has anyone in charge of Rangers FC looked at this cr*p, and wonder why this still appears at the top of Google’s search engine?

The reason why I’m asking this is when you bother to look at the absolute garbage behind this link you find it takes you to a Stanford University article from 2002, by a lecturer who wanted to analyse the 1980 pitch invasion through the lens of 19th century Glasgow.

Yep….It’s an article that is basically dredging up 100 years old history. Ohh give us a break (!)

Now I find myself wondering what the heck is wrong with Google?

Usually I wouldn’t be bothered, but with Rangers in the quarter finals of the Europa League, there just might be some out there who are now tempted to start following us, but are being put off by the very first thing they see in their Google Search.

So, if we really want others to know what Rangers stand for, we have to make sure Google’s search engine is up to date.

And if those in charge of Rangers want our Everyone Everywhere slogan to ring out loud, someone in Rangers really has to get their act together and have a long chat with those in charge of Google.

  1. Good point. I’ve also seen these things and others like the ever boring “Are Rangers a new club”. Yawn! Personally I just don’t connect to the link and ignore it in the same way that I do with anything from Sutton, Hartson etc. However, it could be deemed as damaging and we should be having that conversation with Google as it could effectively damage our brand.
