Those reports claiming Brugge had won Andreas Skov Olsen’s signature have been exposed as literally false, as the Bologna man has now handed in a transfer request to his boss and wants to leave.

His destination isn’t clear yet, but Rangers are very much still in the mix for the Danish star and £5M is the asking price it appears, despite media claims it was closer to £8M.

Gio and Ross Wilson are said to be tracking the situation, and now ASO has firmly put his cards on the table, opening the floodgates for the Famous to get their man at long, long, LONG last.

This is not to say there’ll be no other suitors, he’s a Danish international after all, but Rangers do have long history of association with him and of course if he’s interested in a move to Ibrox he only has to chat to fellow countryman Brian Laudrup whose reviews of his time in Govan will be something beyond glowing.

This saga is likely to go to the 11th hour, a bit like Ryan Kent, and with 9 days left of the window we’ll just have to wait and see.
