Setback for Jack as Rangers midfielder misses out on Hibs
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - FEBRUARY 21: Ryan Jack of Rangers leaves the pitch after suffering an injury during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Dundee United at Ibrox Stadium on February 21, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland. Ryan Jack’s Rangers comeback has suffered a bit of a setback after it was ‘halted’. The Scotland star, so badly missed this year, was NOT, contrary to expectation, included in last night’s squad to face Hibs after Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed he’s still not fully fit, and he needed everyone in the squad to be completely ready.

Further to that, our sources have confirmed there’s a bit of a problem with his fitness, with his post-training recovery now taking a lot longer than for healthy players.

Jack managed a couple of cameos lately, at Ibrox v Ross County then at Hampden to face Hibs, and while he was on the bench v Prague he’s been removed thereafter for the subsequent two matches.

And our understanding is he’s having a reaction to training, which is meaning he’s not as fit for matches as the rest are.

With a high-octane match last night requiring all hands to the pump, Gio doesn’t consider the ex-Aberdeen man’s fitness to be enough yet.

It may take more time.
