Rangers’ 6-point gap at the top of the table is a wonderful bonus, a glorious reminder of the SPFLtic’s ludicrous ruling that bare-bones St Mirren had to fulfil their fixture v Celtic despite barely being able to field a team.
That the Buddies held the visitors, and even could have won the match themselves is a testament to justice, and how Celtic’s plan completely backfired.
Their manager Stavros took a dig at Rangers, claiming we’re ‘playing violins’ over players unavailable, and how they won’t complain about losing two of their internationalists in February for the rescheduled Old Firm, but failed to acknowledge they did (and continue to do) nothing but whine about fixture congestion and injuries.
Whereas Rangers haven’t complained about anything. Nothing.
It just demonstrates how he’s becoming Celtic – always cheated, never defeated, and is beginning to thrive in that environment.
Furthermore, that 6-point gap stands as a monument to Rangers’ dignity in taking whatever we’re given, and doing so with grace and no gripes.
It just feels like justice was served a little last night, and Rangers’ gap grew to 6 points on merit.
Whatever comes from here on in, let their boss take little jibes at us if he likes.
