Celtic plan to foil Rangers is scuppered not once, but TWICE

Parkhead has fallen into meltdown after not only did their plan backfire once, but twice, as St Mirren held them to a draw then an obscure clause emerged which could scupper their Old Firm scheme as well.

Following the SPFL’s ludicrous refusal to grant the Buddies a postponement, Jim Goodwin was forced into fielding a skeleton side, something Celtic were well aware of. But despite being up against kids and fringe players, the visitors were still held 0-0.

Then news broke that Rangers have every right to demand a postponement of the newly-arranged February Old Firm, the one Celtic had delayed to hinder Rangers, by invoking a clause under SPFL rules that allows a team the right to postpone any match in which 3 players are called up by the same country for international duty.

So it turns out Rangers’ loss of Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey has actually worked in our favour after all.

So not only did Celtic’s ludicrous plan fail, it may in fact have handed advantage straight back to Rangers, which we can only laugh at.

Furthermore, they’ve fallen further behind in the league to a team better suited to the Sunday league.

Oh all is not well over there.

Poor lambs.
