Rangers are set to sell Ryan Kent in January according to reports, with his ex-manager keen on adding him to the roster at Villa Park.
Kent, whose release clause is £20M, is happy with life at Ibrox but we all know his personal circumstances and he’d be equally happy moving back south for those reasons.
In January he will have 18 months left on his current deal and the board at Ibrox would consider a strong offer very tempting, given the potential for his value to go down and his being free to talk to other clubs in January 2023.
If Villa want him in January, they will have to pay close to that release clause of £20M, because he’s a prize asset at Ibrox, and of course, the second-biggest signing in the club’s history.
He is certainly a strong possibility for the ex-boss to move for, and we’ll see if that happens.
I would happily let him go for 20m, he has been far from his best this season and the cash would certainly balance the books, Gio and the rest of the backroom team will already have a few Dutch players on their list we can pick up for buttons, I’m excited for one to see what January brings
More than happy for Kent to go along with Barasic . Obviously we need money in to give Gio a chance to bring insome new faces. We also need to put some cash in the system too. So yes sell him and Barasic. Goldson and Tav can also go if we get money offered.
