Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Oranje revolution continues with the near-confirmation that Ajax coach Dave Vos has quit his post at the ArenA to join Rangers as an assistant.

The 38 year old, a youth coach for the U18s who have been in the UEFA Youth League alongside Rangers, will take up his new position as a senior assistant with Gio and his growing backroom staff which of course already includes Roy Makaay.

Vos’ CV is certainly inspiring, having been educated in the total football of Holland all his career, starting with AZ in 2005 when he was just 23, and he’s clearly one Ajax headhunted as they took him just 6 years later.

Vos’ name was a surprise to most fans who obviously won’t know him, but Gio is keen to have him on the books ASAP and he’ll add to a very talented backroom staff which continues to develop.
