There is no denying Rangers fans remain upset, raw, and emotional following yesterday’s exit of our former manager.
We at Ibrox Noise are actually comfortable and happy with it, for many reasons, but we know many of you are hurting and in slight grief from it.
Which is why it is absolutely critical and vital Rangers do move fast to appoint Giovanni Van Bronckhorst as the new manager.
We know he wants it, we know the fans want it, and if the club wants to make the fans very happy indeed, they will move heaven and earth to get GVB in ASAP.
In fact, as we said yesterday, aside the return of Sir Walter in 2007, GVB would be the most popular and supported Rangers managerial appointment maybe in our modern lifetimes, with the ex-Ibrox midfielder ticking literally every single box there is.
Plus he’s free.
His playing career was world class, he won the lot and is an all-time great. His managerial career has already seen honours galore in his native Holland, and we cannot think of a single downside to this appointment.
The information is that he’s in talks, and there are one or two other candidates, but he is first choice and they will only get a chance if something falls through with GVB.
And we pray it does not.
Rangers MUST make this happen, and do not upset fans by losing out on him.
We look forward to the potential era of Giovanni Van Bronckhorst.
And only wish it had been him three and a half years ago.
GVB has to be the man . Cant believe they are still touting McInnes , not the man required at this time . He talks sense as a pundit and has coaching ability for sure, but doesn’t fit the profile we need. He also has baggage in the shape of his backroom team who have the wrong allegiance for us .
Agree Bill but I wouldn’t be averse to McInnes, or better still Barry Ferguson, in support of GVB to give that local knowledge. I know GVB is a former player and knows the club but those were in very different days and was a long time ago.
Get Mols in as number 2, the fans absolutely love and adore the man
Van Bronckhorst must be appointed hopefully no later than Monday. If Derek Mcinnes is appointed it will set us back years and will not be popular with the fans. He is not up to being Rangers manager and his success rate against Celtic is abysmal they have got the measure of him. Onwards and upwards with GVB
