Ryan Kent celebrates his stunning goal (Credit Rangers FC)

Despite a worrying early portion in which Rangers’ poor starts once again plagued them, the Famous rallied brilliantly to convincingly win a match they well deserved.

Ibrox Noise brings you our scores on a decent afternoon in Govan.

McGregor:

He’s not very involved at all any more, and we honestly can’t remember the last time he made a save. We love him, and always will, but he looks jaded and well out of it. 5

Tavernier:

His haters must be hating his performances these days, because he’s excellent. While defence will always be a bit of an Achilles heel for him, he’s getting forward brilliantly and causing so much trouble. This was the case again. Another assist. 8

Goldson:

A few clearances was all he really did on Sunday. Gets the ball a lot, passes it, and honestly that’s the bulk of his distracted-looking game these days. 6

Balogun:

A quieter game from Balogun, taken off with unfortunate injury, but did mostly what he needed to do. 7

Bassey:

Defensively quiet, but wasn’t really tested – forward wise he did get advanced but didn’t land a single cross. Adequate but that’s about it. 6

Lundstram:

Got his preferred 6 position alone, but a sluggish start before he found some rhythm. His passing level ended up being magnificent with 2 long balls attempted and both nailing it. Steady. 7

Bacuna:

A dreadful pass to Lundstram led to the opening goal for Ross County, and while he’ll be delighted to get a goal and assist himself for the Famous, we can still see a lot of improvement to come. He was better though, and will only kick on. 8

Aribo:

A rare headed goal brought Rangers back into this one, and he’ll be pleased with how involved he was. Been a bit quieter lately and still wasn’t great with the dribbling but he had impact and he can be pleased with the assist too. 8

Kent:

Actually wasn’t that heavily involved – only made 23 passes, but what he did do really counted. Every single passing attempt he tried came off – remarkable stats for his first start in ages, and his goal was absolutely stunning. You don’t need to be on the ball a lot to have a perfect match and this was an example of it. 10

Sakala:

Bright and busy, Sakala was energetic and made a lot of runs, and showed why he should be in more. Not everything came off, but he was very involved. 8

Hagi:

He was ok. He has such a brilliant attitude on the pitch, but he just doesn’t thrive as a starter. He somehow feels disconnected from the rest of the team and has much better impact coming on. 6

Subs

Jack:

Just because he was back. 10

Roofe:

Had a bright cameo and used the ball well. 7

Patterson:

Used as LB and did well. Showed his versatility. 7

Manager:

Steven Gerrard rung HUGE changes for this one after the poor display midweek, and while ‘it was only Ross County’, the side, after yet another slow start, turned this one around and well-deserved the win.

Gerrard has to do this when players aren’t delivering, and he finally dumped a host of non-performers. You’d say he got the desired response. 8
