Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s talks today have been confirmed as ‘positive’ and an announcement could be due imminently, according to reports.

Pictured several times in London today after he jetted in for major talks with Ross Wilson and the Rangers board, GVB was in jovial mood afterwards with a wave for onlooking press as he departed, amidst the announcement the talks had been good, and we may see movement soon.

GVB is said to be up against former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and Milan chief Rino Gattuso, but the overwhelming favourite is the former Rangers, Arsenal and Barca hero Van Bronckhorst, who is very very eager for the job.

He has spoken before about how he wants to manage all the clubs he’s played for in his career, and having ticked Feyenoord off the list, the prime chance to coach Rangers has come up and he’s gripping at it with both hands.

Fans want it too, so after today’s good news, we’ll see if something can be clinched inside 48 hours.

  1. gerrard could end up funding a gvb rebuild he would of told th rangers board wat he would expect to get for players like kent and aribo kamara and if he really rates them and wants them we should hold out for tht top price… if one of our players is sold for 20m or near about and they did well in the pl it makes rangers a much more viable place to spend big money we need someone to leave and light it up then we can genuinely say if u want a talent like patterson 25m or and other hot prospect in future. Gerrard could open that door if he rates someone enough to pay for them
