As we alluded to earlier, Rangers will face a Champions League drop-out side in the next round of the Europa League, in a huge hike up in class.

Ibrox Noise takes you through all the possible teams that could realistically end up being Rangers’ next opponent:

Leipzig and Club Brugge. Either of these are destined to be third in group A.

Porto, Milan and Madrid. Any of those three will parachute down from B.

Dortmund or Sporting. Confirmed from group C.

Sheriff Tiraspol. Confirmed from group D.

Barcelona, Benfica. Either of these could be third in group E.

Villarreal, Atalanta, Young Boys. All three could feasibly drop down from F.

Lille, Salzburg, Sevilla, Wolfsburg. Any of these four from G.

Zenit. Confirmed from H.

So, that’s:

Barcelona, Milan, A Madrid, Benfica, Villarreal, Dortmund, Brugge, Zenit, Atalanta, Young Boys Lille, Salzburg, Sevilla, Wolfsburg and Tiraspol.

Rangers will have huge glamour tie in the next round, aside the Moldovans. The rest are all 100% the top tier of Europe.

Rangers at the Camp Nou eh? Been a while…
