“Embarrassing” – Rangers fans gutted with Flag Day
This was as good as it got....

Ok this one is slightly trivial, or is it? Amidst yesterday’s rather diabolical result and performance, Rangers fans in their droves found something else a lot lot worse than the match.

It was the absolutely pathetic unveiling of our title flag.

Not pulling punches at all here, it was shockingly poor – no fireworks, no build up, no music, just three men in a suit unfurling the flag, with absolutely zero pomp or circumstance.

Rangers fans waited 10 years and to sum up the feeling from supporters we quote Gill George:

“10 years we’ve been waiting for that 10 f@@king years…”

And what did we get? A feeble flag, absolutely no shining lights, and warnings from Rangers that fans had to be there at 2:45PM to avoid missing out…

Let’s look at this closely, why was it so poor?

We’ll tell you why – because the stupid fight with cinch meant no SPFL endorsement of the title and we had to make our own flag and suchlike. We didn’t have any bright lights or shiny trinkets to gloss it up.

We honestly don’t know how we feel now about this set to with the SPFL sponsorship – but it cost us a decent flag day.

Because the club put zero effort into the most important symbol of the last 10 years.

Embarrassing? In all honesty, yes. This should have been momentous, it was 55 for God’s sake.

What did we get – Douglas Park pulling a cable. That was it.

Fans weren’t happy with it, and we don’t blame them.

It was frankly an insult to us.
