Despite Steven Gerrard saying the bulk of players are available for today’s away day at Tannadice, there are a key number of doubts still troubling Rangers’ manager.

Ibrox Noise takes you through the definitely outs, and maybe outs.

Definitely out:

Ryan Jack. Another blow, he’s had to slow down his recovery and things are looking very uncertain for the boy. He won’t be available for a while.

Ianis Hagi. Hasn’t recovered yet from his injury v Livi and it’s a bit of a loss. Rangers need his energy.

Status unknown:

Alfredo Morelos. Only had two days of training, may well be on the bench, but his fitness is rather up in the air at this point.

Joe Aribo. Mercifully back in training, but he’s been in and out of the team this summer so we don’t know if he’s one who will feature today.

Niko Katic. He’s in training but he’s being eased back in. We’d be surprised if we see him today but a bench place isn’t impossible.

Kemar Roofe. Available but might be lacking a little spot of fitness so we’re not sure if he’ll start.

Filip Helander. Looked a little below fitness in Sweden and struggled on that level, but the only way he gets that back is with minutes. May be on the bench.

Leon Balogun. Missed Swedish trip through suspension but comes back into the reckoning we assume today.

Thankfully on all of these the signs are more positive, and each of them could still play a part even if only from the bench.

Aside the continuing complications with Jack, and that irritating niggling injury with Hagi, the squad is not too bad.

The following appears to be the definitely completely fit options Stevie has:

McGregor, McLaughlin, Tavernier, Patterson, Goldson, Simpson, Barisic, Bassey, Davis, Kamara, Kelly, Arfield, Lundstram, Kent, Wright, Barker, Itten and Sakala.

And add the 6 ‘status unknown’ who are mostly probably ok and the manager has a good pool there.
