Rangers fans were left fuming after once again being short-changed by the government over attendance.

It has been confirmed Hibernian’s home friendly with London giants Arsenal will have 2000 spectators, a reduction admittedly on the requested 6000, but Rangers are rumoured to only be allowed 1700 for our equivalent fixture and fans are understandably bewildered and frustrated.

It is unclear yet exactly how many fans will be allowed to watch Rangers welcome our old friend Mikel Arteta and his side, but there’s an undeniable reality that Rangers are being treated differently during Covid times.

We all know the complete hypocrisy over Scotland fans, and how leniently they were treated by comparison with Rangers fans, and this is another example of a different team’s supporters being given preferential treatment compared with the Famous. Or, at least, how Rangers are treated more harshly than other sides.

It is what it is, and we just have to live with it.

  1. Another scandalous decision by this Rangers hating shambles of a government. Edinburgh has higher covid rates than Glasgow. Ibrox has twice the capacity of Easter Road but fewer fans allowed in explain please. By the way Hibs should be allowed 6 thousand I don’t see the problem with that but by the same token Rangers should be allowed 10000. Also Rangers v Real Madrid what an opportunity to let Gers fans see one of the worlds greatest teams the doors should be thrown open but will this also be restricted to 1700. It is time football clubs challenged these idiots in a serious way to be allowed fans back in substantial numbers. After all 12500 were allowed to watch the euros at Hampden but then again that was for the SNP loving tartan army arseholes.
