Bongani Zungu and Ryan Jack have made Rangers manager Steven Gerrard’s life harder after outstanding performances for their countries this international break.

Zungu excelled last night after an excellent cameo for his country on 66 minutes led to a superb headed goal late on which doubled South Africa’s lead.

Meanwhile Jack had an superb central midfield performance as Scotland created history with a stunning qualification to next summer’s Euros.

It means manager Gerrard has reliable quality and depth after both players stepped up, following, in particular, a period of slightly quieter form from Jack – in concert with Davis and Kamara Rangers have now four outstanding midfield choices, all of whom are in form.

And all of them are performing just as well on the international stage and really standing out.

It just makes for yet more wanted headaches for the manager, and especially in Zungu’s case he’s followed up his smooth Rangers debut with a strong showing for his country, just as Jack’s own form surged back at Ibrox and has now taken that into displays for his country.

There’s no question Rangers are in a very healthy place, and there’s internationals excelling left right and centre.

Keep it up!
