What is Steven Gerrard doing to Rangers?!

Having covered Roofe’s moment of complete genius, we have to say we’re simply stunned by what Steven Gerrard is doing at Ibrox.

Like many fans, we’ve had doubts, boy we’ve had doubts.

Everyone who backed him 100% and never had wavering faith in his ability is starting to feel very smug, and fans like us who had doubts are happy to be absolutely gorging in humble pie.

First the most staggering Old Firm demolition imaginable and a complete meltdown at Kerrydale (believe us, they’re absolutely hating life right now) then last night’s absolutely astounding and yet astonishingly comfortable and well-deserved win at a place the media told us was a fortress the current performances are superb.

What Steven Gerrard and his team are achieving this season, while nothing has been awarded in October, of course, is still mind-boggling.

It’s been such an astonishing turnaround from the whimper last season went out with, and once again Gerrard is demonstrating European class on a level we have rarely seen in Scotland.

There is no one Rangers will fear in this competition – we’d already proved it against the best teams.

The only one team Rangers truly struggled v was Bayer, and even then, we felt the match in Germany we played within ourselves.

Whereas that’s Galatasaray and Standard Liege we’ve effortlessly gubbed in the last two matches.

Whatever Stevie is doing, we’re on board. We believe 100%. We’ve totally signed up and committed.

We’re just mesmerised by all this.

Wow.

  1. Yes I’m feeling very smug 😂 The signs have always been there. We have improved massively in each season since his arrival. Some fans get blinded by the odd mistake (every manager makes them) or a bad result. I’ve had similar doubts about the players.
