Rangers target ‘omitted’ from team sheet amidst confusion

There was confusion this evening over Rangers winger target Andreas Skov Olsen after the Bologna number 11 was omitted for his side’s clash with Milan giants AC only to then come on as a substitute in the second half – despite not being on the bench either.

In a curious farce, the attacker was not named in the XI or in among the sub list, but was nevertheless brought on anyway despite not being among the announced squad.

We’re not sure if this was a dramatic last-minute alteration or a hint that Olsen was supposed to be rested in lieu of a potential move or if it was a downright breach of the rules, because the only recent comparison we can make is when Leon Balogun broke down in that recent warm up for Filip Helander, on the bench, to come in in his place.

But in this case, Olsen was not on the official team sheet at all yet still managed to come on.

For what it’s worth he looked dangerous, quick, and nearly scored – he looks exactly the kind of player Rangers need wide right.

But whether this incident was related in any way to a possibly move out of Bologna, we couldn’t tell you.
