Stevie slams Rangers attacker

The other day Ibrox Noise covered Steven Gerrard’s a-bomb on Auchenhowie, slamming ‘ego’ in the Academy.

However, there is another angle on this quote aside surprise that Gerrard would slaughter the kids so publicly:

An attack on Kai Kennedy.

The young attacker, as we know, has turned down a new deal and reportedly wants to move to his boyhood team Celtic. His behaviour, from what we understand, has been too big for his boots lately and while we compiled a piece defending him recently, information is that he doesn’t really deserve it.

Those who don’t want to play for Rangers have no place at this club, and if a prize talent from the Academy is more interested in Parkhead than Rangers, in becoming another Liam Burt, then he’s welcome to have the same career.

Gerrard’s words were strong, but they appear to have been pointed at the attacking midfielder, describing him negatively and showing him the door.

It’s not often, in fact it is never that our manager slates the youth, but he appears very unhappy with Kennedy’s conduct.

And for now, that’s what we run with.
