Rangers announce how many signings Steven Gerrard will make...

Rangers chairman Dave King has confirmed new manager Steven Gerrard’s signing target intentions for this summer, amidst the Liverpool legend’s imminent takeover of the playing squad.

Speaking following the appointment, King outlined just how many players the new boss will definitely be bringing in, players, we assume, who will be first-team fixture quality.

He said:

"I think the squad is a lot stronger than it was before the January transfer window and I would still think we probably need another five or six players to come in."

We can basically expect a colossal flurry of signings this summer, and the apparent funds to secure them. This will not include the on loan players, who may be taken up too, but we shall see about them.

In any respect, we already know about supposed intentions with regards Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield, although the interest around James McArthur has gone quiet ever since the Palace man revealed he is under contract till 2020.

Quite frankly depending on how Gerrard sees things, we could well be looking at a mass clear out and overhaul.

To quote the man himself:

“Bring it on.”

  2. Who we keep would make this a lot easier methinks.
    Here's my take.

First of all why in God's name have we had Jak Alnwick as our back up keeper all this time?? Rediculise he comes for cross balls his distribution is good and his last two games have shown he's a excellent shot stopper, saved our bacon yesterday for sure!!

    Keep.

    Jack.
    Tavi.
    John.
    Rossiter.
    Docherty.
    McCorie.
    Candias.
    Alnwick.

Arfield has agreed a pre contract and according to the Daily Rectum Shagger ain't far behind.
So that's 10 sign 7 and 5 on loan with 3 joining in from the Development Squad plus Kelly the back up GK.
26 in the first team squad, slightly light but defo bearable!!!

    1. Get some Young CBs from Liverpool
    2. Sign K.Bartley & M.Skrtel
    3. Sign John McGinn
    4. Try and get Solanke/Brewster on Loan

Be Interesting to see who he keeps and who he gets rid of πŸ€”⚽πŸ’™

    1. 'Bring it on' last time you asked the scum to do this they hammered you 4-0 in the SC. I feel another burst of dressing room bravado coming on.

  9. Agree almost 100% with Robbie. They are the only first team squad players I would keep although I would like Murphy to be signed permanent.

Of the rest we should be able to get money for Windass, Morelos and Foderingham. At a push we could keep them as squad players along with maybe Holt & Halliday. Ryan Hardie surely deserves some sort of opportunity too.

The rest need to be got off the payroll. WTF we are going to do with the likes of Pena I don't know. It now makes sense why his first touch is so bad - he's seeing two fucking balls most of the time!
