Dear Scottish media, signed, yours sincerely, Rangers

Letter written by: Robbie Wilson (on behalf of all Rangers fans)

For our media;

Don’t ban the paper, name and shame the reporter and get him or her sacked.

Dear Editor,

It is with great regret and disappointment that we have decided to no longer allow ???? ????? to attend our Stadium on match days nor be present at any of our future press conferences.

The above individual has tarnished and misrepresented Rangers FC on several occasions with lies that have zero foundation.

This only affects the above individual, not your organisation as a whole, and we at the Club will make welcome any other reporter from your media group at the stadium and any future press conferences.

We at the Club accept any criticism that holds any water, in fact we welcome and relish it. But no longer shall the Club be tarnished by any media group attending any Rangers associated event. We do not want any bias towards the club just a truthful and accurate account of on-field and off-the-field events.

Signed,

The Most Successful Club in the World.

Glasgow Rangers F.C.

  1. As Rangers man I have been accustomed to showing a degree of comportment and a demeanour that the other side do not appreciate,it is important to appreciate that they can never wake up one morning and be one of us ,please do not get embroiled in any tit for tat at this time and be distracted, because believe me they are getting edgy as we seem to be making progress in recruitment and on the pitch,in the words of the great Bill Struth "WE WILL ENJOY BEING CHASED" from now on

  2. The BIG question is have our board got the baws for it????? Would be nice to think they have.,,,but track record so far of standing up for our club isn’t great. But here’s hoping. WATP.

  3. I think Rangers should get Jim Traynor interviewed on Rangers TV to explain the behavior of those hoop shirted jounalists and what is the legal standings on their false stories. I feel our club should be defending itself more, but maybe Traynor is advising that silence is the best was to beat them, as it would not give them any further ammunition to slag our club further.
Robbie is right, we certainly should not entertain those individuals who spout their tripe about our beloved club.

  4. The simple truth is that our Board of Directors NEVER defend Rangers FC, in the media. The degree of lies and miss-truths spouted about us, exceeds any other sporting organisation in the UK: never mind Scotland! The 'turn the other cheek' approach infuriates us supporters and only provides encouragement to those reporters (and I use that term grudgingly) whose sole purpose, or so it seems, is to lie and attempt to damage the reputation of our great club. Stand up for us King and co: its your duty as guardians of Rangers FC

  5. Fellow bears, can i brng to your attention the shocking story of BOB the sas hero who bravely risked his life to storm the embassy and save lives as een made homeless with no help from goverment or council. could the RANGERS family help a fundraisng site to help home this hero? I seen this on good morning britain and it got me.

  6. on this agenda, the reported fee for kenny mc lean along wth walker shows why exactly the board must follow ur lead , we need to boycott tickets of these grounds or they continue their agendas against us.

    • Yet some rangers fans on here have complained when the board hasn’t bought these players on over inflated prices and questioned why the board “aren’t funding” the club… our fans don’t help the issues at all

  7. I like this letter, why don’t we send it based on the BBC bias, and send it to the Director General of the BBC for a proper representation of Rangers, the largest supported club in Scotland and globally recognised as one of the top supported clubs in the world. Yet we get no coverage from within Ibrox, Murray Park or any Rangers media coverage, other than second hand information due to Rangers removing the press ticket from Chris McLaughlan due to his biased and ill judged report from our 6 – 2 victory at Easter Road.
This has gone on too long and our club was well within its rights to withdraw his press ticket, yet the BBC did not at any point reprimand McLaughlan, yet the SFA observer was fully disciplined for his actions in conversing with the BBC man breaching SFA regulations in doing so.
So on behalf of me and I expect most Rangers fans McLaughlans name and hi BBC Scotland employers be inserted where the ‘question marks’ are placed.
