Big changes for Ross County - will Rangers line up this XI?

With the McInnes saga now done and dusted, we can move onto football matters again, and today’s visit of Ross County to Ibrox will see Graeme Murty’s second attempt at winning 3IAR in recent weeks.

After two stonking wins over Aberdeen in quick succession, Murty will want to keep momentum for today’s clash, but he has a fair old number of possibly significant selection issues with Danny Wilson having to pass a full fitness test on Thursday, Ryan Jack being suspended and Morelos possibly returning to health while Bruno Alves has complained about not playing.

This leaves Rangers threadbare in midfield which could see a surprise start for Barjonas alongside the impressive McCrorie.

So the starting XI may be:

4:3:2:1

Foderingham; Tavernier, Bates, Wilson, John; Barjonas, McCrorie, Holt; Pena, Windass; Miller

This would be an unexpected selection but an interesting one with all the possible changes.

What line up would you guys prefer?

  1. Not unhappy with that line up. But I expect Alves will play instead of Bates if fit. Bates will have to wait, but he has a future with us.
Another option would be to go back to 4-4-2 with Candeias and Atakayi outside McRorie and Holt, but would have to drop one of the front 3 for that. Pena and Windass are playing well and Miller won't be dropped, so unlikely.
I do hope that either Atakayi or Barjonas starts though, to show that youth will be given a chance

  2. Hope Brunos fit and Morelos plays up front with Pena.
Should be thrashing teams like that at Ibrox no matter our team or manager!!!
Could do with a few wins in a trot.

Also we must get behind Murty the team and the board,
Let's make them hate Rangers even more, Stand United!!

  3. Definitely Alves. He is being honest and is best player. In place of Bates.

  5. Not sure what the team is gonna be or who the next manager will be, but if it's not Murty then he should definitely be given the job of the clubs PR and Press conferences. The guys a gem to listen to.

  6. Not so fast with done and dusted Buddy. I agree with Stewart Milne, whoever penned that churlish statement to the Press should be fired. He has continued to drag the name of Rangers through the mud and should be named and shamed.
We don't want these people around, never mind working for or representing our club in any form.

    1. Spot on mate shown the door Monday morning.
That statement Should have came with a name attached,
      Totally embarrassing for the club.
Good win today fought well in second half,

Morelos needs a real striking partner like Moult, Miller & Windass ain't the answer that's for sure, Most teams will play like RC at Ibrox, Berlin Wall and hit on the break!!
We need to learn how to break teams down by getting in behind at top speed!!
