A picture paints a thousand words. Again.
 Article by: Ibrox Noise

So after the worst performance and result in Rangers’ history, what is left to be said? We thought we had gone as low as was possible when Celtic thumped us on our own patch last season in the worst Old Firm result at Ibrox, but now a bunch of diddies have gone one better and scored twice in Europe for the first time in their history to put us out.

Deservedly.

Rangers are once again in a dark place on the pitch, and there is simply no justifying what happened tonight. Anyone who can defend it, please stop reading.

For everyone else who is sick and fed up of what Rangers continue to turn into, which is basically otherwise known as a feeble version of Hearts, what else can we say?

The above picture is a group of part timers celebrating the best result in their history. This to them is Rangers beating Real Madrid.

This site warned everyone and got lots of abuse for it.

We wanted to be wrong. But it just does not look like it.

  1. There are no words. I am genuinely physically red-faced with embarrassment.
    Absolutely clueless.
No plan, no tactics, no energy. Nothing.

  2. They were suppose to play like they were in a cup final…… they were clueless and not fit enough. At least I can cancel my subscription to premier sports…….

  3. Gutted, felt this would happen,if we couldn't finish them in front of 50,000 say no more except for "always look on the bright side of life"

  4. Aaaaaaaah! That was the worst performance EVER from a rangers team in Europe absolutely shite! I don't have any other words.

  5. This could be our worse season ever if King doesn't get rid very soon. Imagine that team playing Celtic!

  6. We're a laughing stock. Tippy tappy crap by a bunch of uncoordinated clueless dumplings who don't seem to have been coached in the basic rudiments. Ie you have to try and get the ball in the opposition's net. Shocking! Words fail me. DK has a very big decision to make. Is he brave enough?

  7. Don't think u did warn us ibrox noise, u were just about wetting yourself with all Pedro's signings,. A good few of us replied stating that we were concerned about gelling time and language issues. Rossiter hasn't played in a year, kranjer just isn't fit. The other guys excluding the regulars from last year haven't had enough time to make a coffee never mind settle in. He should have started holt and waghorn(he creates space and has effort). This is all on Pedro imo. As I said in a earlier post,if he gets sacked we are stuck with a strange mix of players for a Scottish side. It's done now, over to the league. We are going to have a massive point to prove now, even more so than putting right the wrongs of last year. We will never hear the end of this. Feel terrible for the fans who went all that way at there own expense, a refund should be offered. Watp

    • Hi Martin, pretty sure we tried to avoid judging any of the new players on any major level because we didn't know them. You might want to look at our appraisal of the first leg for our damning assessment of Morelos, Dalcio & Candeias. What we did gush at was the turnover. Problem is we've signed even worse than we had. We also warned about the defence and got abuse for that too.

      Cheers.

    • we all know the frailties of our team but most of the posts over the last 2 weeks have been praising the swiftness of our purchases and the great season ahead. A few comments were stating the worries over the foreign nature of the signings and difficulties settling to which the next post pointed out that we didn't care were they came from as the calibre was much more improved. The thing that got my neck up was after the final whistle the 1st port of call was to ibrox noise to discuss and hear my fellow bears opinions and the 1st thing I read is basically we told you so. Not the best starting point when emotions are at breaking point. I love this website and the work you do which is in large great. Obviously we disagree on this one. All the best, cheers

    • You were spot on about the defence, IN. I couldn't for the life of me fathom why the defence was the area least attended to by Caixinha in the transfer market. Tavernier looks like he's going to be given another season, which gives Celtic and Aberdeen a 20-point advantage before a ball is kicked. I'm a big advocate of young players, but unfortunately I haven't seen anything that makes me think David Bates is going to be good enough to play for Rangers. Aidan Wilson looked more astute, but is nowhere to be seen. Wallace has a lot of weaknesses, so we're going to be leaking goals left, right and centre again next season.
Let's fix our past hiring mistake and get Derek McInnes in ASAP.

    • I've been a Gers fan since I could kick a ball. If this is what the club has spent money on, Pedro too, there is little hope for this season. No wonder the Bhoys in green are arsing themselves laffin'. This club has clearly suffered more deeply than was previously thought, since we went down the leagues awhiles back. The process of rebuilding is obviously going to take longer than ANYONE imagined. Have we reached the nadir? Finally? I believe we kept hitting the bar. Maybe some of the players had been hitting another bar for a few afore kick-off. What a Pathetic, F********* shambles of a team. Very sad indeed.

    • Hi again Martin,

You're a respected poster here and we appreciate your comments. You're absolutely right – final whistle and everyone, including us, was at melting point with a disastrous night. But I'm not absolutely sure we remembering waxing lyrical about a great season ahead. Nevertheless, it is evident now to most sensible fans, whether they said it before or not, that this Rangers regime is a shambles and we'll try to article something a bit better than emotional post-match rambles in due course.

Have a good night. Well, as good as you can after that horror show.

      Cheers.

    • thanks for reply, i was referring to a post mainly about pena/herrera but my wires may well be crossed. lets move on 🤝 and i look forward to your next post.WATP

  8. Total embarrassment! Manager has to go. I wanted to be so wrong but as I said repeatedly last season, can it it ant worse? Well obviously it fecken can. Manager out now!

    • Manager was wrong to bring in too many foreign players at one time but directors are responsible for hiring foreign manager

  9. Well what a great season we are going to have this year starting with this pile of garbage result. 4.2.3.1 I think was the formation. we all could see that the LONG BALL does not work with players playing too close together. Not a paryer in the world can help this team right now I mean how much these guys on a week? pro players eh?

  10. Well what a great season we are going to have this year starting with this pile of garbage result. 4.2.3.1 I think was the formation. we all could see that the LONG BALL does not work with players playing too close together. 11. Hang on….you warned everyone we were going to be eliminated? Must have missed that.

Fair play to the Luxembourg side but we hit the bar 3 times and had a few scrambled off the line. I don't think we played badly (I only saw 2nd half) it was 2 defensive lapses that cost us.

We should be blowing away teams like this so no excuses. Let's take the banter coming our way and not descend into full on crisis mode when the season hasn't started yet.

If we don't get behind the new group of players and at least give them to Xmas then what is Plan B….????

    • Yes early season, but this is the second nail in Caixinha's coffin after last years fiascos. He has until Xmas to stop talking nonsense and get the team properly organised. Any decent manager would have us organised better defensively. He might have brought in 1 or 2 decent players for the next manager but it would appear that Dalcio and Candeias are no better than OH or green boots.

  12. Cant believe what i have just witnessed..i have sat through and watched 90% of our games since we went down..including the two 5-1 defeats to the tims but this is a new low in our proud history..no excuses utter shite..we have just been gubbed by a pub team .

  13. We've all heard the rumours of why Ohallaron and McKay were bombed out,for telling folk Pedro hasn't got a fuckin clue.Keep his mouth shut about green boots and all the rest.I said the other day he'll be gone by Xmas but I'll say get shot now. That team never played for him tonight.Wallace captain?I'm gutted.

  14. That's the worst ever result in Scottish football. Dismantled by a team of part timers from Luxembourg.

For every one of you purring over Pedro's imports, convinced by his genius and their ability but based on nothing but a blind hope, it will be a long season.

3rd place will be an achievement

  15. Pedro take your big mouth, non existent tactics, poor man management, and complete lack of grace – and GO NOW!

  16. Time for pedro to go talk a good game but he utter crap nomore last season results were bad when you get pump 5-1 by jumbo jims now this no more he gets rid off mackay who lot better and some off that shite

  17. I need to post twice to get this of my chest Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Stunned, lads. WTF just happened.
If Caixinha gets the boot in the next few weeks, we'd have to sign a Spanish or Portugese-speaking manager since half the team seemingly doesn't speak English.
It's been said before, signing too many players in one window is a recipe for disaster. Would rather have seen the likes of Aidan Wilson promoted to the starting line-up, and signed up-and-coming Scottish players like Liam Lindsay and Stevie Mallan; they couldn't have done any worse than the foreigners we've imported. If we'd given Hearts what they're asking for Jamie Walker (a bargain at 1 million) instead of penny-pinching our way through transfer deals, we might have had a better chance of scoring 2 or 3 goals tonight.

  19. Beyond embarrassing and to think yesterday I booked flightd from the U.S for the Celtic game

  20. So sickened by this result. Was looking forward to a great season and all we got was STUFFED by a team of part-timers. So much for all the hype. We would be better entering the squad in the development league,

    • But that's the point, why were you looking forward to a great season – based on what exactly?
Sacked the last manager, brought in a guy with zero success who was managing a team in Qatar, he struggled with his first few games, got pumped by celtic, told the squad they were rubbish, couldn't get rid of them, signed unknown players from backwater leagues and then…why would any of that amount to a good season?

  21. Words fail me …..on the bright side it can only get better because this is truely rock bottom

  22. I also agree with Martin H. Ibrox Noise at no time were sceptical about the present team and indeed were non stop gushing about the garbage we have signed.

    • Hi Em,

The only player we truly gushed about is the only one yet to play for us. You will need to quote the gushing about others, albeit we concede we were overly positive about Morelos. See our reply to Martin for further clarification.

      Cheers.

  23. I've reserved judgement until now. Pedro shouldn't be anywhere near ibrox, especially after the warburton experiment. It was a huge risk and it looks as though as if it is backfiring. Just don't know where we go from here. I just can't believe what I've watched. The writing has been on the wall since the tims destroyed us at ibrox. No excuses. That must be one of the biggest upsets in European history never mind Rangers' history.

    • Teams in Scotland who finish third and fourth always get beat by these so called minnows. It's time rangers realised the level they are playing at . It's going to take years to build a team to make any lmpact in Europe. Even if Rangers did get through, they would've got beat in the next round anyway. Stop removing replies from people who have a better understanding of football and listen.

  24. cant say what i think so sad .another year down the pan .king to blame .we need one of our own goodbye pedro you are worse than warburton .players dont want to play for him .who wants to watch that every week .they the board king e,t,c will give him a year .hes clearly not the one we need .big tel butcher next please .

  25. This Rangers team will have to practice scoring headers from 4 yards from goal.
They must learn to header the ball down.
    They must get fitter.
They must learn to pass better.
They must learn to tackle better.
They must learn to mark their men better.
They must learn to cross the ball better.
They must learn to put the ball in the net better.
    Anything I have missed?

    • End this mad experiment now, ten million pound that we don't have wasted on absolute pish, save me support th team and give it time pish, lost for words on this sad night

    • The Ranger's manager is responsible for all of the above.
You missed the fact that many on the pitch today should never be wearing a Rangers shirt. Personally I think if Herrera had been on from the start we could have scored a barrowload but the manager stuck him on when we were out of Europe. Shocking lack of preparedness and incredible folly with Alves and Dorrans no shows for the first qualifier at Ibrox.

    • Richard, you hit the nail on the head. I totally agree with you.
A PROFESSIONAL side doesn't miss chances like that.
Even if things go a little askew, a PROFESSIONAL side rearranges itself to collectively strive and succeed in scoring. Evidently, Rangers are not. And our financial loss will ensure we stay that way. Welcome to the 2017-18 season, folks..worse than even last year, I reckon. 10-in-a-row Celtic?? You can bet on that quite safely, I think.

  26. Whoever was involved with the picking of the last two managers and especially the timing of the signatures of Alves and Dorrans should be on the first taxi out of Ibrox. Because that is where this game was lost. It's as simple as that. Herrera should have been on from the first minute. We've been crying out for a target man like him for six fkn years alongside a twin striker and now that we have one this joke of a manager didn't play him until we were out of Europe.Only difference between Pedro and a postman is that the postman can deliver. This manager, never.

  27. Get this mad experiment over with now, ten million off money we don't have gone, fuck your give it time pish

  28. As l said in a previous post —l have no idea what we took this guy on for as manager –just a Diddy who has actually made the team worse –his contract should be terminated now

  29. Hope Pedro doesn't come out with played well, players are getting the "philosophy" etc etc…usual crap. This has embarassed the whole Rangers family and in my opinion he has 3 or 4 months. Challenging for the league and final of league cup,or he is away. Most support any manager has had in recent times but I don't believe he knows what he's doing.

    • Then sack him now! He won't challenge for the league. Hibs and Aberdeen will be ahead of rangers and if hearts get their act together, there will be no Europe next season either.

  30. Let's face it Pedro is just Warburton playing with the same obsession with possession it's sterile football. He should never been trusted with such a big club his track record is pathetic

  31. I remember as a 10 year old hearing the Berwick Rangers score come in, this is worse !
Home and away to beat the 4th best team in Lux. Clueless !
Too late now but in unless vast improvement Ped has to go by Oct !

  32. No progress same as warburton the odd odd gd performance, no mercy get him out the door now. Playing with 2 defensive midfielders n one up top against utter shite Jst can't create jack shit still playing the warburton continental shite way. Stop it now just get fukin winning games n fukin scoring goal. Utter fukin shite!!! Absolutely sick!!

  33. the manager is an imposter a complete con man Board are useless for not identifying a clown and players that have been signed are way out their depth to compete before 50k fans who deserve a lot more than the drivvel that was and still is beling served up

    • Why was walter smith not involved in search for a boss after breed man went. Wat knowladge does robertson have pickin a manager. Ped go now maybe we can save our season.

  34. Dave King has spent the expected European progression money on a load of inferior players, their isn't enough money now at Ibrox to last the season.
    expect another administration this year.
Will Dave King now say it doesn't count cause Rangers aren't in it !!!

  35. This bam now responsible for the 3 worst results in our history in the space of what?7 months?Pay him off now.

  36. Only Walter could make a difference with this team. But would he come back is the question and risk all he's done before

  37. SACK HIM NOW!
No excuses, I have supported Rangers all my life, for 60, of my 63 years.
Berwick Rangers were the biggest hurt, other bad results when in lower divisions like Alloa, Annan and Raith Rovers, along with other poor European results. We laughed at Lincoln Red Imps beating our biggest rivals, but they got through.
Sack Caixhinao tonight, I wouldn't even let him or his staff on the plane back to Glasgow and either appoint Alex McLeish immediately with Whatever it needs to get McInnes from Aberdeen.
I for one will never forgive our current manager, losing at home 1-5 now this humiliation beggars belief. Up till now I have been supportive in his methods of clearing out players, trying to understand selling MacKay, letting Garner go, etc. NO MORE!
    GO TONIGHT PEDRO.

    • He is hired to do a job of work, he has failed in this task. Look at any managerial contract, it stipulates he or she has to be competent in this job. No tribunal would ever support him in his failure, minimal compensation would be required to remove him and all his staff appointed by him as associates.
I also agree to seriously consider the two most recent appointees as manager.

  38. Absolutely pish, Pedro ya wanker get real, you signed a bunch of half ball , conference rated players, WATP aye right oh Pedro , am a loyal staunch blue nose, read up on your history Pedro as to what WATP mean ya dick, Portugal and Columbia haven't and never will understand what it means. Totally shit, morales 30 goal hero? He was looking like a waine who got caud add his mum, £10 million quid spent, fuckme if warbuton had that kind of money at his disposal who knows, and to top it all of Pedro the prick wants to get rid off McKay? By the way I know why Rossiter was released by Liverpool for a small amount of money , cause he's shit . The Celtic must be laughing yet again at the rangers, Pedro must go , I repeat must go, we will finish 5th in the spl if Pedro is still there at the start of the season.
Cmon Linfield against Celtic , a true WATP football club Pedro you prick, what happened to the green boots ban ya dick- splash ? One of your players were wearing them tonight. Raging bull aka, aye right oh, more ragging fanny.
You have completely embarrassed rangers football club, and for that reason you must go now.

  39. so Rangers have spent the expected European income on a team of inferior players, there is now no money at ibrox to complete the season, admin 2 is imminent.
but don't worry it doesn't count as in Dave Kings words, Rangers aren't in it.
however bear in mind this is a new team getting into Europe (nearly) in only the 5th year of their existence.
this team BEARS no relation to a former team known as Glasgow Rangers.
    Hail Hail

  40. Windass is also an absolute joke of a player, got skinned for the first goal
Then gave away free kick for the 2nd, then dived when had a chance in ther box. As long as his hair band was sittin nice thats aw he cares.

    • Totally agree. Seems to be a favourite whilst others are getting punted or sent to train with 20s. He should never wear the jersey again.

  41. Bookmakers are announcing they're paying out on Celtic to win the league next year already. That's not a joke, it's an actual thing.

  42. Man o man face this, it's the boards fault for employing someone not even close to being capable but a complete lunatic

  43. Pish pish pish, Pedro on your way with your pish, this is Scottish football ya prick, " our fans will be really pleased with what they see" aye right oh Pedro, if only your second name was Mendez then we would possibly have faith, but trust me Pedro you've totally underestimated the rangers institution, don't put WATP in the changing rooms, no one but miller and Wallace understands what it means, your putting sonnets on walls that you and 99% of the playing staff haven't got the foggiest what it means.
Transfer fees , a wee bit of brown paper bag at the dog n gun me thinks, just meet me after 9 pm, you've signed your pals, wee back hander big yin,oh and by the way , why the fuck did JJ did the job ahead of BF🤔, we all know why.

Get real Pedro, your out of your depth and the players you've signed aren't up to the Scottish game nor the Scottish way of football thinking

  44. I said last week and I got no positive response here or anywhere in support fro fellow fans but, when we took off Holt last week, we just flopped, no player had the same desire to chase players or the ball. I said then and I do now, Holt is not a great or even moderately good player, but he has desire to win the ball, harass the opposition and although demure in stature tries to win the ball. Who did that tonight?
Who on that park at the end of the game hurt?
    ……..are you still wondering?…..Miller will….maybe Wallace….probably Jack…..who else?
The rest will think 'Oh we lost, better luck next time….
Almost 50,000 fans last week hurt and probably 1 million fans globally (we sometimes forget how many fans we have, not died in the wool guys, but those who have become attached to us), who sit back tonight, this afternoon or in the morning and think, 'this can't be real' but it is.
Hugh Kevin's has even posted what I said earlier'worst ever Rangers result'.
I remember Berwick, but I though Symon should never have been sacked, but he got rid of Jim Forrest, 57 goals in one season that Larsson couldn't beat. Pedro could never be forgiven, he has to go tomorrow. Buy him a no-return ticket to Portugal, Saudi Arabia or the Moon.

    • must have missed that post Alan but totally agree. he doesnt staystill, creating space for team mates. wee touches and one twos. part of the reason niko was good on thursday was holts workrate, creating pockets. why start rossiter ? not the boys fault , he hasnt played in 10 months and jacks are 2 similar, felt he should have started. i though waghorn should have started as well, his effort is not in question though his finishing is but making those endless runs really splits the opponents defensive lines. morelas looks more like a poacher with balotelli workrate

  45. Just post my message, never mind approval, believe me this is what the staunch supporters are saying in the pubs.

  46. Dalcio , I understand why he hasn't been picked for benfica, pish, doesn't benfica play in green and white, Pedro go , please go now.
