The European Championships are an iconic football event held every four years. The senior men’s national teams in the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) participate in the championships. The Football Euro 2024 championship will occur between June 14th and July 14th, with Germany playing host. However, England and France are the current favourites to win, with England having +340 odds and France having +360 odds. Meanwhile, Scotland has +8,000 odds, but you never know what the matches can bring.
Who Qualified?
So far, we know 21 of the 24 teams:
- Group A: Germany, Hungary, Scotland, and Switzerland.
- Group B: Spain, Italy, Croatia, and Albania
- Group C: Denmark, Slovenia, England, and Serbia
- Group D: Netherlands, France, and Austria
- Group E: Romania, Belgium, and Slovakia
- Group F: Portugal, Türkiye, and Czechia
The remaining three teams, one each in groups D, E, and F, will be determined this month through play-offs.
Where Will Scotland Play?
The heat is on for Scotland, as they’ll play the opening match against Germany on June 14th in Munich. On June 19th, they play against Switzerland in Cologne, and on June 23rd, they play against Hungary in Stuttgart.
Scotland’s Chances
As you might have noticed from the odds, Scotland doesn’t have the best odds to win. However, the Tartan Army sits at the top of Group A after winning their first five matches in the preliminaries. This victory includes a historic win over Spain.

Rangers FC is an iconic Scottish team based in Glasgow. Keep updated on the Rangers’ latest happenings and see how they perform. Overall, the team has a 78.15% passing accuracy, and various players will participate in the 2024 championships.
Players on Scotland’s UEFA Team
Three Rangers are also on the Scottish National team in this championship. These players play in a variety of roles, as per the following list:
- Robby McCrorie (GoalKeeper): McCrorie is a player who hasn’t played many Rangers matches, only playing one match so far in the Scottish Cup. He’s the twin brother of Ross McCrorie, who’ll also be part of the Scottish national team.
- John Souttar (Defender): Souttar has played 32 matches so far and has an 88% passing accuracy. He joined Rangers in 2022 and has played in the UEFA Euro League three times. However, he played most of his matches in the Scottish Premiership.
- Ryan Jack (Midfielder): Jack is one of Rangers’ longest-serving senior players, joining in 2017. Despite that, he’s only played 22 matches, three of which were for the UEFA League. Regardless, passing accuracy is impressive at 86%, and he has a decent shooting accuracy at 50%.
