With only three hours left of the Scottish transfer window, it’s safe to say Rangers fans are getting a little spot anxious, and the official club X account didn’t exactly help matters with a ‘tease’ tweet regarding the official exit of Adam Devine to Motherwell.

It had definitely been expected to see an announcement by now, certainly regarding Colombian Oscar Cortes, but the bizarre delay on any news of incomings has supporters frustrated and upset.

Indeed, even Heart and Hand suggested the same, accusing the official account of deliberating winding fans up with the Devine post, and as we stand with only minutes remaining of this window, there have been no incomings confirmed at all.

At the time of writing, 20:30, Rangers have secured just two winter additions, both loans, and just one real notable exit in Sam Lammers.

The rest has been ‘chafe’, for want of a better word, and Rangers fans are certainly not thrilled particularly at the lack of a striker being announced by this point.

Sure, there is time, and at this moment while the picture isn’t overly thrilling things can change over a couple of hours.

But overall Rangers supporters are frustrated and underwhelmed.

There are rumours of a ‘double announcement’ to come from Rangers tonight, and if it’s Cortes and a striker, it will make fans feel a little better.

But goodness me Rangers are sure teasing fans over this Deadline Day and we’d have hoped business could have been done more quickly than this.

Right now, as things stand, what we have falls short.

We really hope for dramatic news inside the next 120+ minutes…
