Rangers injury latest as 6 men confirmed out
Philippe Clement giving us the latest at the presser....

Philippe Clement today updated fully on Rangers’ injury situation, and it could be better.

Speaking pre-St Mirren, he revealed that the following players are all out medium to long term:

Abdallah Sima, Kemar Roofe, Danilo, Ben Davies, Kieran Dowell and Alex Lowry.

The closest in here to a return is Davies, but even he is still some distance away.

The Lowry situation is literally scandalous in truth, we understand why Hearts didn’t want to keep the playmaker, who hadn’t really impressed at Gorgie in truth, but to dupe Rangers and not tell the club about the extent of Lowry’s injury really was incredibly poor.

True, telling us about it wouldn’t have made any difference to his now-unlikelihood of going back out on loan, but it would have shown courtesy and in further truth, Philippe Clement was clearly angry about the Tynecastle side’s conduct here.

He considers that he looked stupid at the last presser where he stated Lowry had been sent back and would now go out on loan, but at that time he didn’t know the boy was badly injured and out of the game till approaching April.

Which means he can’t go out on loan, and Clement admits he’s basically stuck with the boy who won’t have many opportunities at Ibrox.

In terms of the other injuries, it’s as we were – thankfully Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin’s minor injuries cleared up, not that either player was much cop v Hibs in truth, and we’d like to see their second half replacements start, in Tom Lawrence and Dujon Sterling.

But for now the injuries are the 6 men of Sima, Roofe, Danilo, Davies, Dowell and Lowry.

It’s been worse, we admit.
