Rangers are set to increase Glen Kamara’s initial sale price of £4M after a bidding war started on the Finnish midfielder’s signature, with European sides joining the hunt to secure him.

Following a host of English Championship and Premier League sides being interested in the wantaway and unwanted Rangers player, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas have joined the race to nab him, and consequently, up his value.

Formerly valued in the £15M+ region, Rangers were said to be looking at a £4M value in recent times, putting out that sum as a tester to see what fish would bite.

And it seems a lot are, which is driving the sale price up. As we know, Turkey is a cash-rich league, and the three mentioned are already said to be looking at Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos as possible lucrative free agents.

Adding Kamara to this would see them tying up Rangers’ three former valuable assets.

Kamara? Rangers are now looking at doubling the £4M, seeking into the region of £8M for his services – he’s got two years left on his deal, and that doesn’t come cheap given the CV he has.

A Finland international, including a European championship, plenty of European pedigree, and a schooling from the Arsenal Academy.

Kamara’s Rangers race is definitely run, but he is going to net the Ibrox side a decent sum of cash, in light of the number of clubs seeking his signature.

While that initial £4M sum was based on his surplus nature in Govan, the number of clubs who want him tells Rangers he’s closer to £10M, probably based on add-ons.

The question is when he will get his move, because he has no part to play at Rangers under Michael Beale, who politely told him to leave about a week ago.

And Kamara wants to indulge that, but he needs the right offer and the bid needs to be suitable for Rangers to accept.

We hope the lad gets his move and Rangers get the money soon.

  1. Let’s hope we manage any future dealings far superior to the Wilson and Robinson shambles. It could be the money that signs us 2 more quality players . Onwards 56

  2. To be quite frank I’d take any amount to get shot of him, if it’s anything like £10m or anywhere close to that Jesus bite their hand off because he’s not been anywhere near that estimation for a while. 💙💙
