Michael Beale confirms big boost for Rangers fans with three names
Rangers manager Michael Beale making the announcement...

Michael Beale has sprung some superb news for Rangers fans after confirming a return to action for Ianis Hagi and Antonio Colak, with Todd Cantwell in the mix too for the weekend’s clash with St Johnstone at Ibrox.

The big return for Hagi after a year out gives Rangers a new option in the 10 slot, albeit the manager confirms the Romanian will not start, and the Croatian has also regained fitness enough to be in the matchday squad as well. New signing Todd Cantwell may also be part of the weekend’s proceedings and is viewed as fit enough to be in contention.

The big news, of course, is Hagi, and that after around 12 months of being injured, he has finally managed to get himself fit enough that he will be on the bench and may well be introduced as a sub in the match to get those crucial matchday minutes in the legs.

As for Colak, he’s been on off fit for a while, but seems now to be over the very worst of it and will be involved tomorrow according to the boss – he is very unlikely to start but we’ll see.

As for Cantwell, well he’s the new man but he hasn’t played a lot of football in the past few months, so needs to fully get up to fitness but as a pro he’s kept himself in good condition and may well be on the bench to get a taste of senior football with Rangers under Michael Beale – if he’s indeed on the bench we’d be surprised if he doesn’t come on for a late cameo.

But Hagi is probably the big news – he’s been on a hellish road, with more than a couple of setbacks in there, but now he’s actually fit enough to be on the bench and can almost certainly expect to get on as a late sub at the very least to get a long-missed scent of playing for Rangers again.

Colak too is a welcome sight in the matchday squad, we hope he does get selected at least for the bench – he’s the best striker at the club and he’s had such an unlucky spell ever since those nightmare big three matches (Celtic, Napoli, Ajax) took the wind out of him and the team.

We can’t wait to see him scoring again.
