Glen Kamara may finally be set to get his move out from Rangers after Salernitana were reported by local Italian press as being interested in adding him to the roster in January.
Davide Nicola’s solid midtable outfit are doing pretty well in Italy’s top flight, but are reported to be looking for a second player similar to former Rangers man Lassana Coulibaly who is having a good time in southern Europe but the club lacks depth there.
The report claims:
In short, Salernitana fear losing Coulibaly and want to stock up in that area with Kamara being strongly eyed up.
It would be the escape route Kamara wants – the Finn isn’t interested in the new manager at Rangers, he wants a change of scene entirely and has wanted a move out for well over two years, but this year has been particularly poor from Kamara and his motivation is zero, this would be fantastic for him and even better for Rangers.
There is no valuation currently on Kamara (despite £10M claims), with two years of his deal to run – he’s not worth a fortune any more due to those poor displays this season, and if Rangers can get £5M for him it’s not all that bad.
Would certainly be a good profit on a £50,000 investment and would represent a good piece of business for a player who no longer wants to be at Rangers in the slightest.
Hopefully this deal can be done and we can all move on.
