Only 24 hours ago, Rangers were off the back of another bad European result, and were hoping to gain some momentum back with a good win v Utd.
Celtic were ‘miles ahead’ (quoting ourselves) of a beleaguered Rangers and we had only slim hope we could even challenge for the title never mind outright win it.
Then Stavros’ side went to Paisley, got destroyed, and the entire picture of Scottish football changed in a breath.
When did Rangers draw with Hibs? Oh wait, it was off the back of a European night v PSV with a huge amount of pressure on it.
Celtic haven’t had this issue at all, not till today. This was the first domestic match they’ve played for almost a season following a European match midweek – and lo and behold they flunked their lines.
Is it any wonder Rangers struggled to keep up with Celtic last season?
It’s not as much about Gio now, as much as we were starting to fear it was entirely – it’s down to the fact our rivals didn’t have European football every midweek as well.
Now that they do, they are going to slip up plenty at the weekend, just like most teams with European football tend to, aside the elite teams at the top.
So while we’re not saying 56 is assured now, what’s clear is Celtic are nowhere near as far ahead of us as we thought.
Amazing what 24 hours does eh?
Credit to the Buddies they looked good all over the pitch.
Love it👏👏👏 NOW LETS TAKE IT👊💪

Personally I think we have too many problems and some of them are very deep rooted. It’s not a case of players suddenly turning a corner and playing better.
I was delighted when I seen the result today ,well done st mirren ,just shows what hard work and organization can get you ,(btw st mirrens squad a pittance of Celtics gio ..?) .
Do I think this gers team can win the title now? Not a chance unfortunately…we are an utter shambles ,hope I am wrong mind you .
Let’s enjoy a bit of gloating, but it’s our own performances that need improvement sharpish as I don’t think they will slip up plenty.
