You didn’t let anyone down, Ryan
Jacko one of the few to stand tall....

Ryan Jack has certainly emerged from the Old Firm debacle with his head held high, even if he doesn’t feel it, and while he believes the players have let themselves and the fans down, he’s one of the few who didn’t.

The returning midfielder, who stormed an excellent second half cameo on his recovery from a long-term injury, was the only player to speak to the media after the match, with captain James Tavernier and vice-captain Connor Goldson nowhere to be seen, as the Scotland star instead stood up to be counted both on the pitch and off.

And his comments, much like Scott Arfield after the shambles at Hampden v Hibs, minced no words and didn’t try to dress anything up as better than it was.

Like Arfield, he’s one of us, and like Arfield, he is hurting as much as anyone, and like Arfield he had absolutely no airs or graces, no b*llsh*t after the match because he knows how it feels as a fan to be fed cock and bull.

And he certainly, absolutely, did not let anyone down for his part whatsoever.

We need more like him.

  1. Yes not many shirtplayers in this team just money money money fuckin disgrace, its time the users were eliminated and get the young blood in who play for the cause,,hearts n hibs next thatll put the septic 7 points clear, theres no way that shite will beat them, and thats a long way back!,back to square one at ibrox iam afraid, same old shite

  2. Ryan Jack should be our Captain. I don’t care that he’s injury prone. If he does get injured then the vice captain steps in but that doesn’t stop Jack getting into the dressing room and letting people know what the jersey means. Tavernier never has been and never will be captain material.
