The dressing room cuttings are ready for Parkhead after two Celtic nobodies trash-talked their way into smearing Rangers’ January work.

What they said doesn’t matter, the fact they said anything at all is just wonderful fuel for Rangers, and we firmly expect GVB to pin their comments up on the dressing room door in the east and make every player look at it firmly before they take tonight’s field.

Gio, of course, hasn’t said a single word about them lot, nor would he, and certainly nothing negative, because the Dutchman is way too canny to put his foot in his mouth, way too wise to be baited by journos looking for a sexy quote to use in tabloid headlines.

As for the other lot, nowhere near as smart – baited easily into making comments about things they shouldn’t, and Rangers players can use that as fuel before taking to the turf in the east.

It’s just not a good idea to trash talk about your opponent, especially when you’re the manager.

Just saying…

  1. Well that worked well. Absolutely gutless. When I saw the send off they got at Ibrox I thought to myself that how could the players not be inspired by that. And we got NOTHING!!!
