Just as we published our predicted XI, Rangers published the official one – the only contention to ours was Balogun did NOT get the nod to start in defence, and it’s indeed otherwise exactly the same XI that created history last week.

In fairness, Calvin Bassey was very very good last week, and had been on record as ‘requesting’ (politely of course) that he get the chance to face Erling Haaland tonight.

That won’t happen, of course, but Bassey got the nod anyway, and otherwise the selected team to face the Germans is:

McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Bassey, Barisic; Jack, Lundstram; Arfield, Aribo, Kent; Morelos.

It did it in Germany, can it get through tonight?

Don’t bet against it.
