Anti-Rangers media attribute fake quotes to Giovanni
He didn't say any of this....

Once again Ibrox News, and yes we will call them out, has attributed absolute anti-Rangers nonsense spouted against the club, by attributing it TO the club, by making up fake quotes about Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Some London Times journo called Paul Forsyth (any relation to Roddy, by any chance) has made claims that GVB wasn’t happy with the time taken by Borna Barisic to get stripped and ready on Wednesday when Leon Balogun’s injury robbed the side of his services.

The claim from Forsyth, HIS words, on the Times website, were:

“When Leon Balogun went off with an injury, Borna Barisic quickly replaced him, or at least he would have done had he been ready. Van Bronckhorst did not look terribly pleased when the full back, dropped since his struggles in the recent Old Firm derby, took an age to get stripped. Nor was he impressed with the defender’s first contribution, a late challenge that earned him a deserved booking.”

Ibrox News, however, took just ‘took an age to get stripped’ and attributed it to Giovanni van Bronckhorst by saying Forsyth ‘reports’ which is anything but an ‘opinion’.

Ibrox News further added:

“Barisic is a liability and it’s fair to say that he no longer deserves a place in van Bronckhorst’s squad. What makes you laugh is that The Scottish Sun reported on 4 January that Rangers turned down a £2million bid from Watford for Barisic. It was claimed that the Gers turned it down because they want £5million for the ex-Osijek left-back. Based on his performances this season, Watford would have been overpaying for the out-of-sorts left-back, who’s definitely not even worth a seven-figure sum based on what we’ve seen in the last two weeks.”

Is it any wonder Ibrox Noise, that’s us, absolutely resents content on News being attributed to us?

Don’t get us wrong, we’ve been critical of Rangers players before ourselves, but this sounds infinitely more like the rambling of a fan from the green and white shower.

Nothing quite like misleading content to get you clicks.
