Rangers could be in with a shock chance of a good result against Borussia Dortmund after the Bundesliga giants fell to a shock 3-2 loss at Hertha which means just two wins of their last five.
The Westfalenstadion side will face Rangers in two months time, and while of course form can change rapidly, the fact Marco Rose’s men are in such a poor run of results is good news for the Famous and of course let’s not overlook the simple fact they got dumped from the Champions League too.
However, in less good news star striker Erling Haaland has only failed to score in three matches all season, and only one of them was in Europe. So Rangers’ defence will still have to work hard.
But the reality is Dortmund’s form this season has been patchy, with only 4 wins in their last 10 matches in all competitions, so if Rangers catch that inconsistent BVB on the day, a good result is quite feasible.
Their defence has been average at best, while up front aside Haaland they’re not actually particularly on fire and trail Bayern by many goals.
So Rangers certainly have a chance alright.
Just depends which version of both sides shows up.
