Rangers have today disappointed fans with an underwhelming update to inform us Jermain Defoe and co. will take the men’s team as the ‘search for a manager continues’.

Unsurprisingly supporters were gutted with this news, wanting the confirmation instead that Giovanni Van Bronckhorst is the new boss, but it appears fans will have to wait a little longer.

The shortlist is down to just Gio, with understanding the initial talks were not only positive but that both parties have the same visions going forward and while contract terms were not discussed, that would be for his agent to deal with.

In short, it really should only be a matter of time before GVB is announced, but until then, Rangers fans will have to make do with some backroom staff taking training.
