Rangers could break stunning 28-year hoodoo on Thursday
Not the best news....

Rangers could make history this Thursday night in Poland as Steven Gerrard’s side seeks to win Group D.

Rangers top the tough group thanks to three wins and two draws, but the history angle will be set if Rangers win this group for it will be the first time in 28 years that Rangers will qualify for the next stage of any European tournament as group winners.

Since 92/93 Rangers have competed in multiple Champions League and Europa League groups, but have never once won the group.

Thursday is the biggest chance to do so, indeed since that first Champions League where cheats Marseille pipped Rangers to the summit of the group and faced Milan in that first Champions League final as a result.

And in the intervening years, there’s been one or two second places, a fair few thirds, and a lot of fourths, but never first.

So yet another chance for Stevie to make some stunning history as Rangers manager will arrive on Thursday and we can’t wait.
