Overwhelming - 95% of Rangers fans 'won over' by £2M man

Borna Barisic’s stock has definitely improved the past month or two, with his bringing more and more of his international form to the colours of Rangers and producing more impressive displays for the Famous.

His standout performance v Feyenoord was followed up by a fairly admirable showing v St Johnstone and slowly the Croat may just be winning over some of his doubters.

In fact, the ex-Osijek LB may just have won over the majority if the latest numbers are anything to go by.

In an Ibrox Noise poll asking our readers how they feel about the form and merits of the 26-year old a paltry 5% were the only ones unhappy with his place in the team while 40% were cautiously content with him citing that he still needed to do more to completely convince, where 55% were now entirely happy with his selection.

In short, 95% of all replies were very much in the positive, a stunning turnaround from months ago where opinion would be far more divided.

The Croat is clearly doing more and more of the right things now, and we’ve got more than a few theories as to just why that is.

But that’s for another time, and we can safely say Barisic has convinced enough Rangers fans now to suggest he’s finally going in the right direction.

  1. I have loved this guy ever since I set eyes on him at Ibrox when Osijek came. Against Feyernoord I saw that player; aggressive, overlapping, taking his men on 1 on 1 and defending like a man. His crossing and composure everything that a Croatia Left Back would be. It gutted me last season because he just never produced anywhere near enough and as understandable as I can be with your frustrations at Ibrox Noise, I always felt he would come good 2nd season, even though you suggest he was a 20 million player! But I am happy Gerrard gave him consecutive games.

He needs that. And he could go on to help us win this league because we all said left back was the position that worried us. Stand up Borna.
