Overwhelming: 70% of Rangers fans are happy with latest Ibrox development

Rangers today confirmed Brandon Barker as Steven Gerrard’s 8th summer signing, the 22-year old winger arriving from Manchester City for a fee believed to be around £250,000.

The former Hibs loanee puts pretty much paid to the Ryan Kent saga once and for all, and the two wingers, both left, are very similar in style.

Barker hasn’t had his injury troubles to seek though, and Steven Gerrard will be hoping his newest recruit can get fit and healthy for the whole of the upcoming campaign.

But Ibrox Noise was interested to know how many of the fans were happy with this signing, and you replied in your thousands, with a resounding answer.

In yesterday’s poll, an overwhelming 70% of supporters confirmed they’re happy with this signing, with only 30% suggesting they were not.

The tricky winger certainly has ability, of that there is no doubt, and in the way Kent finally got going at Ibrox (only for it to have been taken away from him now) the hopes are that Barker can settle at last on his shiny new three-year deal in Govan and develop in the way he probably should.

He now joins Jordan Jones as Steven Gerrard’s two main left wing options.
