Revealed: eleven of the clubs after Alfredo Morelos

For anyone who’s been hiding under a rock of late, the latest name linked with Alfredo Morelos is Italian ‘giants’ AC Milan.

The name, of course, remains colossal, but the Rossoneri are in a desperate place these days, although they can certainly afford Morelos (he’d be a replacement for the departing Patrick Cutrone who’s headed to Wolves).

Media claims were made that they had scouts at Ibrox on Thursday – they’d have seen a solid if non-spectacular performance from the Colombian if they did, and they join the list of names linked with the former HJK man which already includes a glut of both PL and continental sides.

At the present count, all the teams we’ve seen credited with an interest in Morelos are, at the time of writing:

Germany:

Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig

France:

Nice, Marseille

Italy:

AC Milan

England:

West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United

Spain:

Real Betis

China:

Renhe

Eleven clubs and that’s only the ones we know of. Morelos has reportedly been watched by at least two of these clubs’ scouts, and while his preference is famously for the Premier League, we suspect he wouldn’t scoff at Germany, Spain or Italy either.

As for Milan – they’re a midtable Italian side now who can’t even get in the Europa League – well, technically they made it, but a European ban for violating FFP rules makes them a lot less attractive than they might be. They remain a huge global brand but their team is no longer lucrative and they scrap for 10-5th place in the league.

Either way, Morelos continues to be linked with big clubs. And we still have no idea if he’ll be a Ranger come the 1st of September.

  1. I can't see anywhere in our clubs website or interviews from any of our staff quoting any of those teams, all I've heard officially, is that no clubs have made a bid for Morelos,,therefore, pinch of salt Ibrox Noise, pinch of salt!

  3. He came on today against Derby for the last 15 and had 2 shots at goal 1 header off target and 2/3 assists to set others up ...sometimes he walks round wit s face like a smacked arse (35000 PW )...but this boy is a proper direct striker and if we don't get 20m plus a 10% sell on fee it will be bad business on our part ..Strikers are always in high demand and for less than that figure I would be keeping him ...Danny Candeias has already gone for peanuts ..this has to stop . We are no longer there for all the predators to bite Thier pound of flesh from ..ie White ,green, and duff and phelps not to mention Ashley..if you want our best assets you come and pay for them

  4. Only way Scottish clubs get that kind of money (£12m+), is if they play international football for top country even U21's ( Dembele), or on very rare occasion based on performance in European ties .. Would love all clubs in Scotland to get more for players but it will not happen. You need Morelos to be a consistent start at international stage to earn big bucks but will he become consistent starter from our league probably not.. Better selling slightly cheaper but with higher % sell on, but only if club are confident he has what it takes
