Yet another injury blow confirmed by Gerrard....

Following the bombshell that Croatian left back Borna Barisic will be out injured for around a fortnight and possibly more, Steven Gerrard has confirmed yet another player has a significant injury concern.

Ovie Ejaria picked up another ankle knock, and is a major doubt for tomorrow’s visit of Killie, and while his miss can be compensated a little by the returning Scott Arfield, nevertheless Ejaria has just hit a touch of form and his potential absence will be noticeable.

Gerrard confirmed:

“Ovie Ejaria has got a knock on his ankle so he’s a doubt.”

It’s unclear if this was sustained against Aberdeen or in training, but the enterprising midfielder has been bright of late and his composure on the ball could be a bit of a miss against Steve Clarke’s men tomorrow night if he fails to recover.

Gerrard, as mentioned, should have enough depth to compensate for his loss, should it happen, but otherwise injuries are never welcome.

Hopefully Ejaria makes it.
