Ray Wilkins

Rangers legend Ray Wilkins has tonight reportedly suffered a suspected heart attack, and is in a critical condition in hospital as we speak.

The 61 year old, who played with distinction, class and virtue during his glorious time at Ibrox in the 80s, has been one of the most respected men in the sporting world, and following his battle with alcohol had recovered with his head held high, fighting the disease with the same vigour he showed in his playing days.

He has only ever spoken fantastically about his time with Rangers, and the club in general, and as a pundit has been one of the most listenable speakers with plenty of wisdom to share.

The legend also spent time with other European giants such as AC Milan, PSG and Chelsea and it goes without saying that Ibrox Noise speaks on behalf of all Rangers fans and good people in general wishing the man a speedy recovery and back to football where he belongs.

Best wishes Ray, One of the People.

  2. I had to pinch myself when we signed Ray Wilkins back then. I watched him play for both Man Utd and Rangers with a swagger he played with. Can’t add anymore than what IN said – thoughts with his family & friends at this hard time 🔴⚪️🔵
