Galatasaray have immediately ended their pursuit of Joe Aribo after Rangers played merciless hardball on their star midfielder, quoting a minimum of £10M before they would even consider selling.
Ibrox Noise spoke to you yesterday suggesting his pricing will start at no less than £15M, and while £10M isn’t quite that, it’s certainly significantly higher than the abysmal £3.5M the Turkish giants were intending to submit.
But now we know Rangers won’t accept a penny less than £10M as a starting point and this has turned the European giants away convincingly.
Aribo is an absolute asset, with all the attributes to become a top top player in the game, and the idea cash-rich Turks were going to try to pawn such a player for a sub-£5M bid was just laughable and derisory.
There was no way Rangers were going to entertain such a pathetic bid.
And they won’t.
