After the season he’s had, we’ve been waiting for the press to use Joe Aribo in a big transfer story, and this time Turkey haven’t disappointed, following months of using Alfredo Morelos and Ianis Hagi in links, this time it’s Rangers’ Nigerian star.
Aribo had an outstanding season, and we’re only shocked it’s taken till now for a side to be linked to a bid, but given the quoted £3.5M we can only assume the story has been cobbled together by a hack on the sauce.
Aribo is an absolutely critical part of the Rangers machine, an ever-present and certainly justifying of his place, and his goals and assists as well as all-round technical play have been a huge asset to the side.
To go with a ‘testing the resolve’ story on the basis of such a modest bid really is quite naïve, and there’s no denying given how integral he is, any side which wants their submission to be entertained would have to start at at least £15M.
He’s a player very much developing before our eyes, and he has the tools to be a top, top player – frankly a world class one.
He’s not there yet, but he certainly is way more valuable than a meek £3.5M bid from Galatasaray.
And you don’t even need to quote us on that.
