Another unwanted defensive injury blow as Rangers fall in Naples

Rangers could be down to just James Sands and Ben Davies in defence after the latest injury casualty addition to Rangers’ treatment table was feared to be Leon King after the 19-year old had to be taken off near the end of the Ibrox side’s latest Champions League loss.

How long before we start to bring in emergency loans or Bosmans, or are the board just too tight to spend the money needed to salvage this season? It seems obvious some cash needs to be spent but we just cannot see Rangers’ board sanctioning it at all.

On the day we learned Kamara could be out for a while, King may well have joined him. Meanwhile Tavernier and Lundstram are both playing with injuries. Indeed, those injuries have likely been rather reflective in both of these two and their form, with Tavernier being absolutely shocking the past couple of months while Lundstram has struggled for consistency.

It seems like before long Gio’s going to have to put his boots on, not to mention Makaay.
