The BBC have just asked Giovanni van Bronckhorst their first question as Rangers manager, as Kenny Macintyre took part in the boss’s conference for the first time.
The Beeb and Rangers’ feud is now over, meaning Pacific Quay are now welcome again at Ibrox, and they were only too happy to take part in their first press conference for well over 7 years.
Macintyre was the first BBC journalist to have been engaged directly with the club for easily a generation, and his question was gentle, asking Gio if he felt his squad was now stronger than before the window opened.
We neither welcome nor object to this – it should have been the case the entire time, but for childishness from the club along with biased coverage from the broadcaster to prevent it.
Both have now sorted their differences out and we can hopefully expect fair content from them from now on.
We can’t deny though, it was certainly strange hearing ‘bbc’ at our presser.
Surreal times!
